The Group of Research in Electrical Energy of Nancy GREEN is a research laboratory of the Université de Lorraine which, since its creation, has been carrying out research in the field of Electrical Engineering with a focus on energy aspects.

Two main themes characterize the research work:

• Applications of superconductivity in Electrical Engineering
• Electromechanical conversion systems

Our laboratory is part of the “Energy, Mechanics, Processes, Products” (EMPP) scientific cluster of the University of Lorraine, which comprises 6 laboratories and is organized around the Jacques Villermaux Federation for Mechanics, Energy and Processes (FR2863), in close association with the CNRS. GREEN also holds the Institut CARNOT Icéel label.

GREEN is a host laboratory whose Doctoral School is IAEM-Lorraine (Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics).
